HIP Hotels

A former warehouse turned into a lively hotel with a strong personality, 18 Micon Str. checks all the boxes of a great venue. It's difficult to put your finger on what exactly makes this place stand out so much among its competitors in the area, but it might as well be the interesting mix between the story of the of the building reflecting its industrial past, outstanding design, impeccable quality of the service and awesome location.
With a history going back to the 1950s when it functioned as a storehouse for a leading Athenian trader, Mr Kostas, the current hotel is a masterful illustration of the 3 fundamental construction materials: cement, wood and brick.

A haven of creativity and hidden treasures, Psiri qualifies as one of the coolest neighbourhoods in Athens, with stories to discover at every corner. Home to leather workshops and small factories during the previous century, the area is now an "old meets new" kind of place, with free-spirited creatives flocking to the countless boutiques, quirky bars and art galleries.

Earthy, natural tones of the 3 essential materials, cement, brick and wood, give the rooms an airy, chilled back, contemporary vibe. Each of the 15 rooms comes with a marble bathroom, locally handcrafted furniture and a minibar.

Even though the hotel does not have a restaurant per se, you can still indulge yourself, as the hotel personnel will cater to your tastes. The buffet breakfast is anybody's dream of pastry, yoghurt, jams and other delights, while the evening room service features delicious Greek dishes. Other amenities include the lounge where you can help yourself to complimentary refreshments and cookies, while flipping through a magazine, as well as the cosy Decompression Room filled with comfy sofas and games.
